NDLP PARTNERS

How to become a partner

Becoming a partner of the ND Lawyer Project means aligning yourself with a network of organisations that are serious about making the legal profession more inclusive, not just ticking boxes.

We’re known for doing things differently. Our work is low-cost, honest and impactful. We don’t offer glossy pledges or empty slogans. Instead, we centre lived experience, push for meaningful change, and support the people who are often left behind by traditional D&I schemes.

Why become a partner?

  • Join a growing network of firms, chambers, universities and legal organisations committed to neuroinclusion

  • Build your external reputation by working with a respected, independent and neurodivergent-led platform

  • Access our NDLP Helpline, offering confidential lived-experience advice for HR, D&I leads and ND staff

  • Demonstrate genuine commitment through actions, not performative statements

  • Collaborate on practical, low-cost initiatives that make a real difference to your people

What’s involved?

To become a partner, we ask that you engage with at least two of the options listed in the Work With Us section below. This could be adding a Neurodiversity Profile, hosting a eat and educate session, co-creating a campaign or simply promoting our Undisclosed portal to your staff (please find the ways to work with us below).

You don’t need to do everything at once, we’ll help you decide what works best for your team, your goals and your capacity.

To get started or ask a question, email outreach@ndlawyerproject.org.uk and we’ll set up a short intro call.

The NDLP Helpline

The NDLP Helpline is an exclusive free benefit for our partners. It’s a question-and-answer service that gives your organisation access to lived-experience advice on neurodiversity in law.

What is it?

The helpline allows anyone in your organisation to send us a question related to neurodiversity and receive a thoughtful, practical response within 7 days. It’s ideal for HR teams, D&I leads, staff network chairs or managers who want a quick sense-check or some ND-informed input.

What can we help with?

  • Tips and advice on internal policy

  • Suggestions for reasonable adjustments

  • Feedback on press releases or public content relating to neurodiversity

  • Signposting to useful external support or resources

  • Helping you respond to informal questions raised by your staff

What it’s not:

  • Legal advice

  • Mental health advice or support

  • A substitute for long-term consultancy

  • A service for questions that would require over 2 hours of research

  • A tool for designing large-scale policy change from scratch

We aim to keep this lightweight, useful and accessible and always rooted in lived experience. For questions outside the scope of the helpline, we’ll always try to point you in the right direction.

To access the helpline, your firm must be an NDLP partner. See “How to Become a Partner” above for more details.

Eat and Educate sessions (lunch n' learn)

What are our eat and educate (EE) sessions?

What are our eat and educate (EE) sessions?

What are our eat and educate (EE) sessions?

Our Lunch and Learn sessions are a practical, meaningful way for firms to improve their understanding of neurodiversity in the legal profession. They’re delivered by neurodivergent professionals with real experience of working in law and are designed to be flexible, interactive and honest.

We offer:

  • A choice of 6 core modules, each covering a different area of neurodiversity and law

  • Interactive case studies and real-life examples tailored to your firm’s needs

  • Optional add-ons focused on specific topics such as recruitment, supporting parents or building internal initiatives

  • Sessions are usually held during lunchtime so people can eat while attending, making it easier to fit into busy schedules. You’re also welcome to record them for internal use.

  • Anonymous “ask us anything” Q&A elements.

  • Clear takeaway points, with free resources for attendees

  • Once you've hosted an NDLP EE session, you become an NDLP partner and you can access our NDLP helpline (learn more about this below)

What makes our sessions different

What are our eat and educate (EE) sessions?

What are our eat and educate (EE) sessions?

  • Hosted by ND legal professionals including our founder Amelia, a award-winning qualified solicitor with 4 years of experience working with firms on neuroinclusion

  • No corporate speak or vague theory, we offer practical insights

  • Encourages open conversation over lunch, not just a webinar to tick a box

  • Delivered remotely or in person

  • Can be amended depending on what your firm offers and your policy

  • Cost-effective and flexible (you pay per speaker, not per session)

We believe ND people should be paid for their time and insight. Our current rate is £100 per speaker per hour depending on the format.

How it works

Our 6 core modules

Our 6 core modules

To arrange a session, email us at outreach@ndlawyerproject.org.uk. We’ll set up a meeting to find out where your firm is currently at with neuroinclusion and what you’d like to improve. After that, we use this information to design a tailored session and send you an overview for approval.

Once you’re happy, we’ll agree on a date. We often host via Microsoft Teams, but we’re also happy to come to your offices if preferred. Please note that if we travel to you, reasonable travel expenses must be covered.

Other ways to work with us

Please reach us at outreach@ndlawyerproject.org.uk to discuss

The ND Lawyer Podcast shares honest conversations with neurodivergent people across the legal profession. Guests have included trainees, junior lawyers, partners, in-house counsel and talent/EDI teams. We talk about career highs, difficult moments, policy and best practice and what actually needs to change.

If you or someone at your firm has lived or professional experience to share, we’d love to hear from you. We are particularly keen to platform junior voices, those from underrepresented backgrounds, and anyone willing to speak honestly about their experiences in and around law.

You don’t need to be a polished speaker or say all the right things. We’ll support you through the process, and recording can be done virtually at a time that works for you.

To get involved, email outreach@ndlawyerproject.org.uk with a few lines about who you are and what you might want to speak about.

Undisclosed is our anonymous submissions portal for neurodivergent people working in and around the legal sector. It allows individuals to share their experiences, challenges and reflections without having to reveal their name, job title or employer.

Submissions are shared publicly on our platform to help others feel less alone, challenge assumptions about what “professionalism” should look like and show the diversity of neurodivergent experience across law. Some are hopeful, some are painful, and many say the things people often feel they’re not allowed to say out loud.

If your firm wants to show genuine support, one of the easiest and most impactful things you can do is advertise Undisclosed internally. You can:

  • Share our portal link in newsletters or staff forums

  • Invite your ND network or D&I teams to contribute

  • Use it as a conversation starter to reflect on your firm’s culture

We do not track or collect identifiable data. Contributors can choose to remain fully anonymous or include basic details if they wish. Every post is moderated and lightly edited for clarity. Click on the 'Submissions' page to learn more.

We’re building a central hub of practical, neurodivergent-led advice for people navigating law. Our Self-Advocacy, University and Job Hunt Corners are filled with content that reflects real experiences, not just generic tips copied from HR manuals.

You can support this work by sharing resources you’ve created or used. That might include:

  • Tips on asking for adjustments at work or during recruitment

  • Guides for ND students doing a law degree or the SQE

  • Reflections on navigating interviews, networking or disclosure

  • Checklists, infographics, scripts or video explainers

  • Anything you’ve trialled internally that others might benefit from

We accept resources from individuals, staff networks, internal teams or external organisations. All resources will be credited unless you ask us not to.

If you’re not sure whether your content fits, we’re happy to talk it through. Just email outreach@ndlawyerproject.org.uk to get started.

We regularly speak at internal events, panel discussions, conferences and community spaces, both within law firms and across the wider profession. We speak honestly, practically and from lived experience. There’s no jargon or polished corporate script.

You can invite us to:

  • Speak on a panel or fireside chat

  • Co-host a virtual or in-person event

  • Run an internal Q&A session

  • Deliver a talk to your trainees, interns or wider staff

  • Join a conversation on a specific theme, such as disclosure, recruitment, or leadership

We don’t just speak from one experience. Our team includes trainees, qualified lawyers, career changers and those working outside traditional legal roles.

To explore an idea or extend an invite, email outreach@ndlawyerproject.org.uk with a few lines about the event and your goals.

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. If you want to make a lasting impact or tackle a specific challenge within your organisation or the wider profession, we can work with you to design something tailored.

This might look like:

  • Co-creating a campaign on neuroinclusion in recruitment or retention

  • Designing a bespoke training or resource series for your internal teams

  • Gathering anonymous ND staff feedback and turning it into action points

  • Supporting your ND network with lived-experience insight or workshops

  • Collaborating on research, policy consultation or pilot schemes

We’ve worked with law firms, universities and policy bodies on projects that challenge norms and centre neurodivergent voices. We’ll help shape something that is honest, useful and grounded in real experience, not just corporate messaging.

To start a conversation, email outreach@ndlawyerproject.org.uk. You don’t need a full idea, just let us know what you’re interested in exploring and we’ll take it from there.

Add your firm's neurodiversity profile

What are law firm neurodiversity profiles?

Your firm’s Neurodiversity Profile is a public snapshot of how you support neurodivergent legal professionals. It includes details like your initiatives, policies, training, networks and lived‑experience voices, letting prospective ND candidates see your commitment at a glance

Why should we submit a profile?

  • Help prospective candidates navigate your recruitment process: Many neurodivergent applicants feel unsure about how and when to disclose or request adjustments. Your profile gives them clarity on what to expect and who to contact.

  • Attract top ND talent: Candidates actively look for firms with visible support measures. Your profile helps them decide.

  • Show your commitment: Publicly demonstrating your work on neuroinclusion enhances your employer brand and fosters transparency.

  • Join a wider ND community: You’ll be listed alongside leading firms and benefit from being part of a recognised network.

  • Exclusive access: Partners get full access to the NDLP helpline, offering confidential advice and lived‑experience guidance to your staff.

What information do we require?

To submit information, please drop us an email at outreach@ndlawyerproject.org.uk

You choose what to share, here are optional fields you can provide:

  • Neurodiversity policies (e.g. adjustments, disclosure, recruitment)

  • Training programmes (e.g. lunch & learns, induction, CPD)

  • Internal networks (e.g. ERGs, champion groups)

  • ND representation (e.g. number of ND staff in firm leadership or panels)

  • Resources & events (e.g. awareness sessions, workshops)

  • Support mechanisms (e.g. mentoring, adjustments helpline)

  • Lived‑experience quotes (anonymous reflections from ND employees or trainees)

You don’t need to complete every field, but the more you share, the more your profile helps candidates and contributes to collective ND inclusion.

Not sure what to include? We can help you decide. Email us at outreach@ndlawyerproject.org.uk to set up a short call.
